Electronic silicone gel belongs to the additive liquid silicone rubber system. The transition from liquid silicone rubber to silicone gel is caused by the hydrosilication reaction between vinyl (or allyl) in the base polymer molecule and silicon amino CSi-H in the crosslinking agent molecule in the presence of platinum catalyst.
The crosslinking density of silicon gel is much lower than that of general molded liquid silicone rubber, generally 1/10 to 1/5 of the molded liquid silicone rubber. In fact, silicon gel is a kind of additive silicone rubber with no or little filler and low crosslinking density.
